SPIXII are a startup with a proposition that's turning heads and a mission to change the way millennials think about buying insurance.

The challenge

SPIXII came to us with a name, a game-changing product and infectious enthusiasm and asked us to create a brand and demo app to help them get much needed funding at their demo-day. SPIXII is an insurance app which uses chat bot technology to guide users through the selecting and buying experience, all through a whatsapp style conversation. 

The solution

The name SPIXII comes from a breed of brightly coloured parrot. The idea stemmed when the 3 founders Alberto, Renauld and Alberto discovered the parrot species was ARA, their initials. They liked the idea of SPIXII as the insurance guide offering advice.


The old and new AOP logos

Inspired by the bird and it's role as an advisor I looked at elements and shapes found on the parrot. The most recogniseable feature is the wing which can be simplified into an elegant shape. 'SPIXII. The insurance guide that takes you under its wing.' 



A bright, simple app UI was designed to be demonstrated to potential partners.
